How to stop procrastinating on important tasks
It used to be a disaster. I'd have deadlines looming, assignments piling up, and the overwhelming urge to do anything but what I was supposed to. I'd tell a friend I'd have a certain part of the project finished by a specific time, creating accountability. Forgiveness was also important. There were days when I still procrastinated.
Instead of beating myself up about it, I'd acknowledge it, learn from it, and move on. One slip-up didn't have to derail the entire process. Now, I'm much better at managing my time and tackling important tasks without delay. It's not a perfect system, and I still have moments of weakness, but I have the tools and strategies to overcome them. It all started with breaking down tasks, creating a conducive environment, managing my time effectively, and understanding my triggers.
